Sample student posting.

[Examples of what the student will need to write is in red.]
"Zaabalawi" by Naguib Mafouz
[Students will create questions for discussion.]
1. Who or what do you think Zaabalawi is? Is he more than a person?
2. What does the narrator mean when he says: "______________________________."
3. Why does the narrator __________________________?

Reflection: [This needs to include a paragragph (10+ quality sentences) with quotes from the literature. Students will be graded on the quality of their reflection. A reflection should be much more than just: "I liked it. He is interesting. I'd like to meet him." Students may wish to answer the following questions throughout their reflection: What was the most interesting part of the literature? What in your life connects to the literature or feelings the author is conveying? What parts are the most confusing in the literature? What do you or don't you understand; what do you or don't you connect to well about the literature? What do you want to know more about after having read this literature? What do you think caused the author to write this piece? Why did he or she write in this particular manner?]

Just checking.

I am going to play around with the template a bit, but I think this design will work. Now, I just hope I get to teach WL next semester. "We'll see," as my dad says.
